when you eat your Smarties, do you eat the red ones last?

I'm scrappping tonight. And I'm really feeling it!! This layout I'm working on....it's gonna be my newest fave. Just decided to take a break for a few minutes to ask my fellow bloggers a question. And it's a real easy answer....either yes or no. Oh, and tell me where you live.

I wasn't under the impression that Smarties were Canadian candy....however, through the wonderful world of blogging, I've run into two people who've sorta boggled my brain..... One girl wrote on her blog about receiving Smarties for Christmas and likened them to M&Ms but way better in an attempt to introduce Smarties to her readers. I was like "What the heck??? Who is she talking to, doesn't everyone know Smarties?" I just chalked it up to the fact that she lived in Utah and perhaps, Smarties weren't in wide circulation.

Then, when I stated 'not eating the brown Smarties' as a quirk of mine a few post back, I got this comment:

" Brown smarties? Whoever heard of such a thing? Wait a minute.. I just realized
(as I was typing that) that you're probably not talking about the same smarties as
I am thinking of... hmmm..."

Soooooooo, my question is....... Do you know Smarties? Yes or No? And where do you live?

p.s. I included a picture of the Smarties (candy coated milk chocolate, delish!) I'm munching on as I type this......notice there are no brown Smarties. I took them all out for the picture and gave them to Jimmy. It's his job to eat the ugly Smarties.

I am in Oklahoma and you already know I only eat these www.smarties.com :) I think it's funny/weird how there are two candies named smarties.. wonderful world of blogging! Also, M&Ms and your smarties are different too because we only get pink ones for valentine's day!!

Yup, I'm sitting down with the non-chocolate smartie club. Ours are sour little chalky dealies. I don't ever eat them, but I used to as a kid. So do you have M&M's up there too? Which is better?

another non-chocolate smartie club memeber here . . . I'm in Oregon.
Smarties here are what everyone else described...not chocolate. Your smarties look like M&M's...I wanna know what tastes better Smarties or M&M's? And how can we get some Canadian Smarties to sample?
;)

I most definitely know Smarties, (a little too well judging from the size of my rear.) I don’t save a particular colour for the beginning or the end, just gobble them all up as they come out of the box. Cute pic, btw!!

Non chocolate smarties! I never knew that. I always thought that the US didn't have Smarties at all.

Well, thanks for teaching me something new through your blog. You do learn something new everyday.

Have a nice weekend!

i've heard of the chocolate smarties, but have never had them. i think i may be hard pressed to give up on the m&m's considering that the alternatives around here are pretty nasty (ugh...sixlets!)

we used to take the u.s.-powdery-chalky ones and pretend they were pills when we were younger.

Love the smarties and reminds me of when I was a kid. It's the perfect candy/treat for kids. They're small...less of a chocking hazard and sooo yummy! I actually save the blue ones for last!!

I LOVE Smarties. Love them. My grandmother is from Scotland so that's how we've been introduced to them. I love m&ms but they don't even compare to Smarties!

OF course I know Smarties (the chocolate treat). As for the "Smarties" that are in the U.S.A we call those "Rockets" here in Canada, and the are hard to find year round unless you go to a speciatly candy store. They are more prevelant at Halloween. K, more useless knowledge for you! lol
