Ahhh, weekends are just fahhhh-bulous.

Got a whole lot of nothing done today. Barely got dressed actually. And that’s exactly the way I like to spend my Saturdays in the winter. Inside relaxing.

Since I didn’t do anything today, I have nothing to write about. Perhaps tomorrow will be more blog-worthy.

Alright, one last thing....the people have spoken and now I know……my delightful afternoon pick-me-up aka Smarties are available to my Parisian friend Alison but are not available in the US. What a shame. As soon I finally get dressed properly…..I’ll pick up a few boxes to RAK off. Stay tuned for Smartie Awareness. (Yes, you just might have to compete!!)

Just got off the phone with my brother………
Tell me this isn’t true……while sharing the news that Smarties are completely unknown candies in the US, my brother informed me that you also do not have Ketchup flavoured chips?!?!?!?!!? (Sorry, I can’t RAK those off…..chips wouldn’t survive the Canadian postal service.)

***edit*** I should clarify..... Ketchup chips do not rock my socks off. I do not eat them, unless I'm offered them from a cute little 4 year old....you know how they always wanna share?? They're soo cute and you can't really say 'no' cause you want to encourage them to keep sharing.

There are grown up chip flavours and kid flavours....kids favour Ketchup flavour.

And I'm gonna say something now to all you who live in the the country of the cherry cola. That is DISGUSTING!!!

but i keep hearing about these smarties things.
the "smarties" here in the US
are just round sugar things that are kinda tart.
no fun.
although we used to chop them up into powder and "sniff" them.
until we got sent to the principal's office because the teacher thought it was cocaine.
we were just being stupid...

No ketchup flavored chips... That is something I think I will have to pass on. Not much of a ketchup fan anyway. I prefer to dip everything into mustard. =)

I've been having a lazy weekend too... But that's what they are there for, right?

I'm an immature adult who likes ketchup chips. But I think it stems from the fact that my mother hated the smell and look of ketchup chips when I was a kid, so ketchup chips were my way of rebelling. Some kids smoke, I'd buy a bag of ketchup chips.

My friend Christa has been doing an indepth study of the quality of chips in other countries when she travels. So far, she thinks Canadian chips are superior to US/Australian chips. However, when in Cuba, she picked up a good bag of chips, but they were actually German.

LOL. I was responding to your Smarties question and my Internet stopped working. Yeah, the whole time I thought you were talking about the tarty-type thing.

And I'm so excited that you're visiting A Peek Into Yesterday! You need to join our community- YES, more ways to interact with Raina=my dream. It's a lot of fun. And I haven't heard of ketchup-flavored chips. My brother would like those; he's so into dipping everything in ketchup. sick.

i can't wait to try the smarties that i KNOW you're gonna send me. hey, it's my birthday soon, so it seems necessary. right? i'm just playing with ya.

Okay, a little fixated on the Smarties issue aren't u? Very funny. I have been telling friends that Americans don't know what they are. Everyone is amused.

Ew, ketchup flavored chips?!?! Now that sounds nasty. I wont be trying those I don't think. Smarties though are going to have to get tried sometime. I'll be keeping my peepers open for that contest! :)

Okay..those that don't have smarties are missing out. I tell ya. And M&M vs. Smarties, I prefer smarties.

I actually knew that Americans have not been priviledged to have smarties and had sent some to a friend years ago. They loved them and thought I was making them up...till they saw them. Let me tell you....you guys are missing out!

Oh and Ketchup potato chips....YUMMY!! I can't believe you don't have that either! What is this world coming to! haha I love em, even though Raina you don't. I still to this day eat ketchup chips once in awhile.

so there's this little sandwich shop in town that also makes their own chips...it's called "The Chippery". They make ketchup chips. I tried a sample of them once...not my thing. That's the only place that has them that I know of.

We do have dill pickle chips though...do you have those? I like pickles, but not pickle flavored chips - yuck!
